Coaching Team

Peter specialises in Professional Tennis Coaching in the Doubleview, Scarborough and Churchlands area. At Doubleview Primary School he offers before school tennis classes and private lessons for all levels every morning of the week. Every afternoon Peter is also part of the coaches team at the State Tennis Centre (Burswood) with both the State Academy and Talent Development Squads. High performance drills with selected talented players create a fantastic tennis enviroment. Peter is a  Talent Development Coach (TDC) and Qualified Club Professional Coach with Tennis Australia.

Previous Club Coaching Experiences
Peter was the Club Coach/Junior Pennant Coordinator at Claremont Lawn Tennis Club a position he held from 2001 till 2014. Over these years Peter ran a very successful tennis coaching programme, Friday night social club and coordinating pennant teams. A huge amount of pennant shields were won during this time, in his final season as club coach a record 5 junior pennant shields were won (2013/2014) and Peter decided this was a perfect way to finish his role as Club Coach. Peter won the WA Tennis Coach of the year award in 2007/2008 and finalist of the 2012 WA Club Coach Award.

High Performance Coaching
As private coach Peter was selected twice to participate in the annual National Talent Development Camp (10 and under) in Canberra, at the Australian Institute of Sport. Peter often travels to numerous National Championships in the eastern states attending workshops, seminars and analyses matches. Peter is also present at most WA Junior Tournaments to watch his students play their matches and see where they need to develop further.

Additional tennis experiences are former Tournament Director (Tennis Little Masters and Claremont Classic) and WA Team Coach at the National Little Masters Championships (Melbourne). Previous board member, coaching course lecturer and examiner with the TCAWA. International coaching experiences in Borneo (Indonesia) and offering annual Bali Tennis Tours for the past 10 years have proven this is a must do if you love tennis and holidays.

Anthony D’Ignazio is the Head Coach at Schoolkate Tennis and is an accredited coach with the Australian Tennis Professional Coaches Association. He is currently coaching tennis part time with studying a double major in the field of biomechanics and sport physiology at the University of Western Australia. Anthony is also a die-hard Arsenal and West Coast Eagles supporter who claims they are the best two teams in England and Australia.

Andrew Clarke is in charge of graphic design and promotion for Schoolkate Tennis, and is an accredited coach with Tennis Australia. He has recently finished a double degree in Law and Arts from the University of Western Australia. In his spare time he performs in several bands around Perth, has been nominated for a Western Australian Music Industry Award and won the 2010 National Campus Bands Competition.
